I’m Amanda. I’m 25 and I’m probably the oldest person you know who still gets excited about half-birthdays.

I’m originally from Dallas, Texas but moved to San Diego to go to college. After I graduated, I decided to stay and pursue a career in marketing and public relations.

I started this blog because I love to write, but I get bored of just writing in my own paper journals. I never have the time/energy/interest to go back and delve through them. This blog allows me to share my life with my friends and anyone else who stumbles upon it. It makes me much more motivated to put my words together and keep track of the funny things that happen to me. Oh, and I’m also really, really fond of people who leave me comments.

I enjoy the following: bad reality TV, baking, sleeping late, ice cream, my boyfriend, awkward humor, making lists, and the magazine Real Simple. I also like opening a fresh package of crescent rolls and the “pop” that it makes.

Things I do not like include: writing “u” instead of “you,” rudeness, loud children, drivers who speed by me only to sit at red lights, people who text in movie theatres, Lenny Kravitz, and small talk.
