An unlikely find
This past summer, my dad and his wife (technically my stepmom but I refuse to call her that or detail my distaste for her because this is going to be an uplifting blog gosh darnit DEEP BREATH) visited me here in San Diego. Summertime in Southern California is simply gorgeous and fun and all types of wonderful. I decided to take them to Seaport Village , a place I take all my visitors. It’s an eclectic collection of shops, restaurants, and performers right by the water. You can grab some frozen yogurt and gaze at the sailboats and the Coronado Bridge. Perfection.
Anyway, we decided to take a walk further down the harbor, and we suddenly stumbled upon this:
It’s a huge replica of this photograph! Mmm. Of course it was a little awkward to have discovered it with my dad, but hey – he did take me to see Titanic when I was 12. We’ve been through this before. That steamy hand on the window = blushing still to this day.
I love how detailed it is – right down to her shoes. Boys: take your girlfriend/wife to Seaport Village, suggest a little romantic promenade, and surprise her with seeing this. You’ll thank me.

Love Seaport Village. San Diego is one of our middle daughter’s favorite places.
